As we begin our journey to sail around the planet, it’s probably safe to say that now, ironically, I have the world’s shortest commute. I measured it. From where we sleep to my ‘desk’ it is exactly 4’ 1”. It‘s another 3’ to the ‘print room’ and only a mere 10” to the ‘media and archive department’. The cafeteria and facilities are also both within
a 8’ radius. Additionally, the office also boasts 360 degree water views!
Living, travelling and working all in the same space may sound to some, to put it mildly, like a challenge. Well it is, but for me it’s also a dream come true. I’m fortunate, in the business of visual communcaitions as long as you have a computer, the technology to communicate freely and the resources to share your ideas, there are no limits to what you can accomplish.
It would, however, be almost impossible without the support and encouragement from the exceptionally talented and hard working team of partners, designers and consultants back in i&D's New York headquarters. Also, we’re lucky to have clients with an adventurous spirit that believe that as long as you can do the job, it doesn't matter where you are.
